Dale Hughes

Dale Hughes is the former Senior Vice President of Legal Affairs and Strategic Investments for Cox Enterprises, Inc. He was responsible for Cox’s policy and strategy relating to legal services. In addition, Dale led all facets of Cox’s corporate real estate function, including strategic planning, transaction implementation, acquisition and disposition, project design and construction, as well as portfolio management. Shareholder relations, foundations, and energy management also reported to him. Dale is committed to environmental stewardship at work and within the community. He currently serves on former Georgia Governor Purdue’s Water Contingency Task Force, presides as vice chairman of the board for the Fulton County Community Improvement District, and is a board member of the DeKalb County Community Improvement District. Hughes founded the Chip Allen Chapter of Ducks Unlimited and now chairs the committee for its “Chip Allen Conservationist of the Year” award. He received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Emory University and his law degree from The University of Georgia Law School.
